week 32/26
This week was full of ups and downs. I don't remember much straight out of my head and I needed to go back in my journal to find out where my head was at.
I've been journaling for some time now (more than a year) and just right now I'm starting to see something I could call patterns. It's very interesting to see how my weeks repeat, how similar they are — how Mondays and Tuesdays are crap, Wednesdays are a bit more mellow, Thursdays are really good, and then throughout Fridays, Saturdays and a bit of Sundays everything's great and smells like true freedom. Then, suddenly on Sunday evenings it turns to shite, like someone hit the OFF button at the back of my head.
There are also weeks which fall outside this pattern and are completely different. But I have never written anything good about Mondays since working a regular job.
It was another hot week and it's really hard for me to find any motivation to go for a bike ride. The heat was just melting my brain away. Instead of biking I decided to give drawing a go and just tried anything that came into my mind (mostly abstract mountains—because that's where I would like to see myself).
Documenting my life, my ordinary situations of waking up to a sunlight, eating vitamins before work, seeing what’s happening on the streets everywhere I go and having beers with friends.
The drawing thing really sparked my motivation and I wanted to draw a real scene, something I could actually see and not just pull out of my head. I knew just the place: I could sit in the middle of the creek, on a stone, under the foliage, with my feet bathing in cold water, just drawing what's in front of me. I tried it multiple times, the same scene, and it was fun.
More cool cars for my collection. I've been really enjoying hunting for them. I can't wait to make a gallery of these finds to see what I have actually collected. Also, more I have found more trees.
At the end of the week the temperatures went down a bit so I could sleep better. From Friday to Sunday we did a lot of cool things, like riding bikes, rafting, meeting friends, eating pizza, and having some beers. I didn't take many pictures so these experiences live only as text in my journal and here.
