week 31/26

This week could be separated into several clusters… I don’t really know why. Maybe the days as they go after each other don't matter to me anymore. Or it could be the ever–changing doubtfulness. What’s good or bad, what’s pretty or ugly.

I guess, I like to experiment and this might be something inside of me yearning for a change.

Whenever I walk somewhere I try to always carry my camera with me. It’s piece of heavy metal, it’s simple and it does not get in a way. I enjoy looking at stuff, people, moments, lights. I am not by far any good at it (I often think, I suck), but the process keeps me going and that’s what I like. Sometimes the pictures come out pretty, sometimes ugly, but most of the time they’re just moments frozen in time, shapes, shadows, situations.

After all the years carrying camera with me I struggle with the meaning. Does it have to have a meaning?

I did go for a haircut. When Romča came back home, this was her reaction to my new cut. I did not go bald.

The interval between my cuts is rather long and it’s always a big change to the others. It might also be linked to a bigger change—a general one. It could be a form of death and birth of something new. Most of the time we are not aware of this…

Anyway, it’s pretty nice to have short hair again, it certainly helps with the hot days these days.

We took my mom to visit part of Beskydy where my grandmother was born. Sadly, she died when I was a tiny baby so I don’t have any memories of her. Only photos that my mom showed me. These are the snippets of us walking around the Beskydy, looking at houses, watching sunsets, playing a lot of cards, chilling in the garden, reading books and getting sunburnt.

I love how getting a cup of coffee at Kikafe always makes us smile no matter the mood or situation. This place is magical and the coffee is so good.

These are the cool cars I liked this week.

I also enjoy trees. Weirdly the ones that endure the concrete jungles most of us live in. I found this joy very recently and there will be more pictures of trees.

It was very hard for me to sleep this week. I blame the hot days, but reality might be different. Also my feet are cooked.

This whole thing that you have read might feel personal, or honest. I am not sure about the right word at the moment. Only thing I know I needed it to go away so I wrote it down to get it off my chest, my head, off me. I hope you will understand. I hope I will understand when I revisit this week’s entry.

Thank you for reading.
